epilogue
WE STATE that already back in 1995, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO)
of the United Nations, which Lithuania is a member of, adopted the Code of
Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, which refers to the important
contribution of small-scale fishing businesses to the employment and income
of citizens and increase in food resources.
For more than 10 years we have appealed to Lithuanian leaders, institutions,
and politicians REGARDING COMMERCIAL FISHING IN STATE LAKES AND PONDS for
determination of the fishery limits on roach, perch, seabream, pike, bream,
tench, red-eye, trout, zool bream, WE HAVE WRITTEN some 120 of applications.
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE HAS REACTED.
Therefore, once again, please ALLOCATE the limits for fishing for roach,
perch, seabream, pike, bream, tench, red-eye, trout, zool bream in 35 water
bodies, state lakes, Kaunas Lagoon and ponds at least on the level of 2011
and REJECT the project of the Law on Fishery of the Republic of Lithuania.
PLEASE CREATE WORKPLACES IN COMMERCIAL FISHERY AREA, REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT AND
SOCIAL SEPARATION IN LITHUANIA.
